Doylestown AAUW

… “Helping Women and Girls Realize Their Potential”

aauwdoyl_smAAUW Doylestown Branch was organized in 1958. Our charter was granted on May 20, 1958 with a membership of sixteen. Branch membership has now grown to 100+ members.

This branch of AAUW has long tradition of attempting to solve educational issues for women and girls. For example, in the early 1970′s it was a group of Doylestown Branch members who founded ‘Aid for Girls’, the organization that later became ‘Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Bucks County’.

FULFILLING OUR MISSION

AAUW Doylestown branch contributes to the community:

  • By awarding an Annual Scholarship granted to a young woman graduating from Bucks County Community College and continuing her studies.

  • By conributing to AAUW Funds and the Legal Advocacy Fund

AAUW Book Sale

All Member Book Sorting Meeting

ALL HANDS ON DECK!

We need everyone at the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company on
Wednesday, May 1st, 7- 9 p.m,
for our branch meeting, final book sorting and preparation for this sale.

And, we’re not done yet!  We also need our members to sign up for posts during the sale. We need supervisors, assistants, heavy lifters, cashiers, attendants for special editions and customer service representatives. Also please ask your husbands, brothers, sons and grandsons to volunteer to serve as "Men at the Door," the sale is busy and there is cash on hand so it's important to have male security figures present. All jobs will be explained at the branch meeting on Wednesday night.  Please sign-up at the AAUW Doylestown web site (www.aauw-doylestown.org) to help make this year's fundraiser a success.
